Data from the Associazione Italiana Direzione Personale (AIDP, the Italian Association of Personnel Management) indicate that voluntary resignations among young people in Italy affect 60% of companies. The most affected sectors are IT and Digital (32%), Production (28%) and Marketing and Sales (27%).
A study by the IBM Institute for Business Value (IBV) highlights the main reasons why people choose to resign: the desire to work in a more flexible environment (32%) and the desire to be engaged in more focused and satisfying assignments (27%). When choosing a new job, people today are most concerned about work-life balance (51%). More than 40% said that the employer’s ethics and values are important for motivating them and making them feel part of a community.
